The Discovery
Along the way I went, not knowing where it lead
I walked on feet so sore that I did not want it anymore
I felt alone , without a friend or a foe.
I asked Him , why so?
Why do I have none and others more so?
A mother who loves unconditionally
And a father who protects fiercely
A friend or sibling who fights and plays
Also not a well-wisher who for me prays.
Walking along the way, the night upon me lay
I came upon a beach, the deep ocean within reach.
Sighing into the sand with nowhere to go,
I stepped into the water, the feeling just so.
The waves were on the roar and the water soothed me deep to the core.
So I laid on the sand , my feet touching the water
The water caressing my feet, leaving them sore no more.
Looking up in the sky , I saw the crescent moon smiling
And the stars sharing deep secrets while twinkling
Just then a breeze whispered something in my ear
Commanding me to keep my eyes open and hear.
The swish of the leaves, talking to me through their chatter
Just like old friends, without any significant matter.
So I took it all in,listening intently
And saw everything which my naked eyes could not see.
I felt something , resonated deep within me
And a calmness swept over me.
Saying, Feel lonely no more for He is with thee.
